Agaricus bisporus, commonly known as the cultivated mushroom, is an edible basidiomycete mushroom native to grasslands in Eurasia and North America. It has two color states while immature – white and brown – both of which have various names, with additional names for the mature state.

Brown button mushrooms are the least expensive mushroom variety They can be eaten raw, and cooked via sautéeing, stir-frying, grilling, braising, and roasting.
White Mashroom
White Button mushrooms have a relatively high water content relative to their more mature counterparts. This means that cooking them takes a little bit longer than cooking cremini or portobellos.
